Hi secitizen,What is the version of service pack installed on your computer?Step 1: If you do not have service pack 3 installed, then you may install the hotfix from the below link and then check for the issue. Before installing hotfix, make sure you install all important updates.Power consumption may be more than you expect on a computer that is running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918005Step 2:If you still have issues, then uninstall McAfee and check for the issue as you start experiencing issue aftr installing McAfee.Regards,Manasa P – Microsoft Support.
